Blending science, experience, authenticity and a genuine care for each and every athlete, Bambu Endurance prides itself on delivering high levels of coaching whether you want to go faster or go longer.
1:1 coaching provides each athlete with their own personal coach and a consistent delivery of optimal training sessions, based on the ‘whole’ of you, your motivations, your current fitness levels, your career demands, your psyche, your goals, your family demands, your nutrition . Each element of ones ‘whole’ life affects training prescription and training response.
With your own personal coach continued ‘micro adjustments’ are made to optimise your time and your growth, knowing when to push and when to pull. To achieve this we work hard to develop open and regular communication with each athlete.
Coaching is both a science and an art and Bambu Endurance prides itself on finding the right mix with each individual.

Strong Healthy DEEP Roots
For long term development and longevity in health and performance, Bambu Endurance has a large focus on developing deep rooted foundations, of optimal strength, nutrition, sleep and recovery, mobility, recovery and mental well being. With gaps in these endurance sports will find you out, eventually.

TRIATHLON
Maybe you are starting out, or have just booked an Ironman, or you are a seasoned age grouper looking to see how much more you can achieve, we bring experience, scientific knowledge and passion to support you in your pursuit. 3 disciplines, multiple types of training for each, plus strength work, how does it all fit ? and fit optimally ? We take the headache away but empower YOU on the way.

1st Step : We talk through your goals and walk through a situational analysis and previous training / performance history
2nd Step: We connect up through TrainingPeaks [a platform for coaches and athletes] and begin our journey. Most often the initial weeks will include benchmark testing.
3rd Step: The cycle of me planning, you training and providing feedback [data and subjective] and me analysing and updating your program begins

No problem. I will often advise athletes to join a swim group. Its far more enjoyable. Also to have a coach poolside can provide invaluable stroke analysis

RUNNING
You might just be wanting to improve and enjoy running, or maybe you are eyeing up destroying your Marathon PB , the local park run, or an ultra distance event. Running carries the biggest impact on the body. Often its when its going well, and you want more distance, more speed and then a few cracks appear. We can never guarantee no injuries, but we can guarantee we will reduce the risk. A happy runner is a healthy runner.

YES. In order for me to track your training, it does not have to be top of the range and I will use TrainingPeaks app which is a small monthly investment.

CYCLING
Of all the disciplines, cycling carries the biggest glossary for terms, from technical gear to training terminologies, it’s extensive. We digest it all for you, and then feed it in bite sized portions during the journey, so you understand your CDA from your W prime. Whether you just want to up your FTP to beat your mates on the Sunday Chain gang or to develop the capacity to thrive in multi stage races and Grand Fondos, we dedicate ourselves to achieving your ambitions.

All your training, on bike, off bike will be delivered via ‘TrainingPeaks’ app. A comprehensive platform for athletes and coaches.

YES ! if you have the equipment absolutely.I will prescribe sessions for both indoor and outdoor and the percentage of each will vary depending on time of the season and rider requirements.

It is not essential but It serves as a great tool for tracking training effectiveness and prescribing sessions.
Hyrox / Bespoke
Whether you are wanting to compete in your first Hyrox or become a more all round athlete with an optimal mix of strength and endurance, we have the knowledge, science and experience to help you achieve your goal.

We use an online training platform Trainerize to deliver training programs, track your progress and instil education around nutrition and lifestyle.

We offer both a one time do it yourself, and a subscription for weekly coaching .
We value the power of a coach in your corner. To continually monitor, tweak, reassess and amend the program to continually stay optimal for you.

We have you covered. We would blend this into a program via training peaks and ensure all your training compliments each other and that your time is spent optimally and effiently

What You can Expect

The journey starts here and cycles back here routinely. Understanding your needs, goals and situational analysis. Clarity in terms of where you are, and where you want to be.

This means that whilst a path and plan are drawn up beyond that of a week. It is the weekly ‘check ins’, to review and analyse the past weeks training, your situational changes and how the week ahead looks and any tweaks and changes to the plan that need to be made based on feedback

Profiling means, assessing the demands of your goal, then assessing you physically, physiologically , mentally, situationally, identifying the strength and limiters and then designing the plan for you.
This is a cyclical procedure to continually address how close or far you are to the demands of the goal / event.

24/7 access to your coach via whatssapp, email, training peaks.
Communication is KEY to detailing optimal training. We don’t hold your hand, as athlete empowerment is important but we are an open channel to ensure training remains on track and we can advise, tweak, make micro adjustments based on feedback.

Feedback on sessions and feedback on weeks and blocks of training to ensure you remain fully aware of the process, the information gathered, and most importantly, your progress.

Again, a given. Using the training and previous performance metrics. The nature of the event at hand, we work hand in hand to inform you of the optimal strategy to achieve success in your given event. This includes nutrition and hydration, equipment as well as the bread and butter pacing / psych approach

We screen our athletes using a 10 exercise protocol to better understand our athletes strength and limiters. If further allows us to ensure that technique of exercises is at a proficient and safe level to be able to load and execute these exercises individually.

Our team are firstly not dietitians but understand performance nutrition and nutrition for good health with a high degree of knowledge and experience. We use strategies within training to complement the aims of the session to maximise returns. We further provide support and guidance to achieve optimal bodyweight and good practises for long term health and well being .

Crossing over with nutrition/ this includes recovery, well being, stress management, sleep, mindfulness etc. All areas that affect recovery and performance are attended to to ensure no stone is left unturned.

Results matter to you. They matter to us. We have pride in our coaching and are equally as passionate about seeing results as you are. If we cannot find the answers to questions, we will happily find someone who can, because you matter !
